Rita Daniels

Board Chair

Rita was the founder and owner of, "A Special Guest," a children's event company in Southern California.

Rita has been in the aviation industry in various capacities since 1986. She started with Continental Airlines, then was hired by United, where she worked in multiple capacities. She started at Alaska Airlines in 2003 and while being a Flight Attendant, she was chosen to serve on the CARE Team, Hiring Team, Special Projects and Events Team for over the past 21 years. She also served as the LAX Base Manager. This year, she is being recognized as one of their 2024 Legends.

In 2004, Rita started and was the Executive Director of "Brittany's Closet" in memory of her daughter, Brittany Daniels. The NPO, in conjunction with the Kiwanis Club of Fountain Valley, helped clothe children in need.

Rita's passion and energy to help others is what motivates her. She has volunteered her time to numerous organizations that assist children and families, including Colette's Children's Home, Illumination Foundation, Jimmy Valvano's V Foundation (Victory over Cancer), ESPN's Humanitarian Awards, Open Sky for Autism, and Brittany's Closet. The time she has devoted to helping others is endless!
