Danielle Serrano brings more than 15 years of nonprofit fundraising and leadership experience. She has directly secured over $85 million in philanthropy for a range of local and national programs and organizations and holds deep expertise in building sustainable development programs and teams. Currently serving as Vice President of Development at Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services, Danielle spearheads the organization’s fundraising and communications strategy, overseeing all efforts to secure vital resources and amplify the organization’s mission through donor engagement, marketing, and public relations.
Before joining Didi Hirsch, Danielle dedicated a decade to Enterprise Community Partners, a leading national nonprofit committed to advancing affordable housing. In her role as Senior Director of Development, she guided a fundraising team responsible for securing substantial national support, while managing her own regional and national portfolios. Danielle’s journey in fundraising began with a transformative role as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer for Colette’s Children’s Home, an Orange County nonprofit providing transitional housing for women and children. Her success in this initial role led to her recruitment as the organization’s lead fundraiser, where she continued to expand fundraising and volunteerism.
A passionate advocate for transformative change, Danielle is driven by a commitment to alleviating inequity and suffering through the power of resource mobilization. She graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication Studies from California State University, Fullerton.
